The Rivers Edge Lodge is located just east of the Continental
Divide, on the Upper Beaverhead River, Famous for its World Class Fly
Fishing. Our Lodge sits on private land, encompassing both shores of
the Beaverhead river south of Dillon and 10 miles from Clark Canyon
Reservoir in Beaverhead County!
We are centered at the hub of four primary ecological systems,
supporting a wide variety of wildlife -- including the Centennial
Valley, home of the Red Rock Lakes National Wildlife Refuge, and the
Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem.
The area was first explored by the Lewis and Clark expedition in 1805,
where they camped on August 16, 1805. About 20 miles west of the lodge
was where the expedition eventually met the Shoeshone Indians acquiring
horses for their trek across the continental divide.
The town of Dillon is the southern gateway to the great state
of Montana. It's wonderful western atmosphere is close by for dining,
shopping and fishing supplies. Also, very close to the lodge are
historical ghost towns, Bannack(First Gold mining strike and
territorial Capital of Montana), and Virginia City(GoldMining). These
well preseved ghost towns offer great one day trips from the Lodge to
the wild west of yesterday!
